It has been almost three months now since I put fish in my tank.

However, it has taken me about five months to build it.

I first got the tank, gravel, pump, tubes and etc and put water to set it up and running. I did not do it all at once. I spent some money each month to buy items to put into the tank. I was building my first fresh water fish tank.

Then I let it sit with the bubbles going for four weeks to get impurities out. I bought six tetras and an angel fish. Two tetras died, I guess they could not adjust to the water. The water here is warm so I did not need a heater.

I got four more tetras, a loach and another anglefish. Now, the tetras a schooling fish so they are happy, my angel fishes have a dominance problem, and the loach hides most of the time.

My next goal is to build a thirty to fifty gallon seawater acqurium.
